Alisdair Murray Co-ordinating Editor. Ex Royal Marine and portrait painter Alisdair has been Curator of the Nothe Fort for the last 16 years during which time he has amassed a considerable knowledge of the naval and military past of Weymouth and Portland. From his extensive contacts he has built a strong team of contributors.

Maureen Attwooll Author of several local histories including the build-up to D-Day and wrecks and wrecking.
Doug Hollins Historian of Whiteheads Torpedo Factory.
Dave Carter Subject expert on Red Barracks.
Ed Cumming Diver and collector of Torpedo memorabilia, and lecturer on the loss of the Abergavenny in Weymouth Bay.
Bertie Male Portlander, brought up and earned his living in the quarrying industry. Royal Navy during WW2 with extensive experience in Landing Craft. First Lieutenant of British Tank Landing Craft carrying Americans from Portland to Normandy over the D-Day period.
Ian Brooke of Brooke Photographic, local photographer who supplied us with his great helicopter shots of Portland, the Harbour, Fleet and Chesil.
Osprey The Commodore and Staff at RNAS Yeovilton and specifically, Lieutenant Scott Lockey, Royal Australian Navy.
Dr Geoffrey Carter Naval historian and author of several books on the Royal Navy at Portland.
Ian Watling a local fisherman for 20 years.
Nicholas Garner Designer and maker of various things - webstuff, music, printed ephemera, furniture. Ambition is to visit half of the places mentioned on this site.
