| Weymouth Sailing Club
can trace its ancestry back to 1882, but little is known of
the club at that time. It became the Corinthian Yacht Club in
1902 and then the Franklin Sailing Club in 1913, before adopting
its present name in 1920. The club is very active and offers
racing throughout the year for Falcons, Squibs, Dinghies and
Keelboats. Situated on Nothe Parade with a full view of the
Harbour and easily reached from the car parks in Barrack Road,
it has its own adjacent moorings and slipway. Other facilities
include showers, a bar and an excellent galley for meals. More
details are available on the clubs web site at www.weysailclub.org.uk.
